Thank You Kathryn and KDT Girls!

Kathryn and the KDT girls are the best! They sent me this BEAUTIFUL plant in memory of my Grandmother! Thank God Michelle is the Plant Expert in the group and can tell me how to keep it looking fabulous! Thank you! I appreciate the thoughtfulness and kind words you have all shared with me. I love you girls!

Hi Sue! I hope you and your family are coping alright during this sad time. This spathyphylum (peace lily) doesn't like to dry out between waterings. If it does, it will totally wilt and look like it has died. But if this happens, a good drink of water will have it bouncing back within hours. You will also know if it's been over-watered, because you will suddenly have leaves turning bright yellow, (don't mistake this for thirst). If you do get yellow leaves, just clip them off close to the soil, it will not hurt the plant and will keep it looking nice. Another trick I've learned to help encourage the blooms is when watering, let the water hit the stems all over approximatley 6" above the soil. I'm not sure why, but it works for me! If you have any other questions ever... I'm happy to try and help. Hugs to you and your family. :) Michelle
