Real Wood Paper

I'm not sure how she did it, but my friend Carolyn found a challenge about WOOD....and didn't tell me. You owe me! :) So, I went on my own search and found Belli Blog...fun name by the way. And their challenge was to use wood on your card. Well, hello. Who is the queen of wood on her cards? hhhmmm...give me a minute. ...it's coming to me.....almost there....oh! ME! :) LOL!

I also used the Mojo Monday layout for this card. Great layout again!!

I used my NEW light bamboo wood paper on this card along with Eastern Red Cedar. I've never made an Asian card and not really sure why I did. Guess I was feeling FUNKY today! Ready to try something new!

Isn't it cool how the Cedar has just a bit of a metallic sheen to it. Only at some angles in just the right light. Cool stuff!

Here's the Bamboo wood paper. Love it, but i would not recommend sewing with it. It's one of those grainy woods that will probably split when the needle pierces it. Gorgeous on its own!
If you want to know the other materials I used, please email me. I'm trying to hurry as the family is outside having a bomb fire and I'm trying to get this posted...quickly! LOL! Have a great night!

Ohhhhh, I am sooooo sorry about that, Sue!!! I am never thinking! I stumbled on that challenge at the last minute, and you are right..I should have told the whole team about it. Who knows why my mind works the way it does? I need to be more alert and remember to share these things. I will now put this in my memory bank and share this sort of thing from now on. I do owe you BIG TIME!!

Your card is incredibly gorgeous. I love all of the wood cards so much!
