Cosmos Flower Digital Stamp

I pulled out one my older digital stamps to work with yesterday.  I made this Cosmos digi stamp last year as a tribute to a wonderful lady I grew up next too.  Her name was Margaret and she never had any children of her own.  She taught me all about the beauty of God's work in flowers.  Her favorites were roses and cosmos.  Every spring we would plant her flower beds with cosmos seeds.  All summer long we would collect the seeds from the dying flowers and place them in white envelopes for the next years planting.    I spent 8 summers doing that with her.  Later as I had my own garden, she gave me seeds from her white envelopes.  This summer, I started the same process with my daughter.  I hope it brings her as many happy memories as it does me.

I colored the Flower with Copics - R000, YR00, G21 - on Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80#.  I then cut it out and layered it 4 times and finished it with a Zva Creative 1/4" Brad.  I used Spellbinders Large Circle Scallopes and Lotus Die cuts.  Placed it all on the new GORGEOUS Cappella Basic Grey Paper.  It needed a little more bling so I added Zva Creative Symmetrical Crystals - Topaz.

I have entered it into Play Date Cafe Challenge # PDCC37 - Color Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and have a WONDERFUL day!
Sue

Wow, Sue, this is beautiful! The Capella dp is the perfect touch! Your story is as beautiful as your card! I do the same thing with my love in the mist and share seeds with my family members. I just might have to plant some cosmos next year!
