I Tell You The Truth

I made this card using the Our Daily Bread Designs May Sketch Challenge. This is the 2nd card I'm showing you with that really cool wood I was so thankfully given to play with from my husbands customer!! The background is an exotic wood from another country. It's not like anything we have here in the states, that's for sure! Very striking. The darker piece right behind the flowers is just as awesome. Very rich and almost metallic. Make sure to click on and enlarge the photo's to see the wood grain! Both were surprising great to sew on. I've sewn on a couple that were stiffer and would shred when the needle pierced the wood.

This background was the Customer's favorite piece he gave me to play with. He's a man of God and I wanted to make him a special card using this piece of wood. My husband is taking it to him as I type this. OOOHHH...how I hope he likes it!

I still have 3 more wood cards to show you! AND more SNEAK PEEK's of my Digi Stamps!

Stamps: Stampin Up
Inks: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Papers: Georgia Pacific White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Brushed Metallic Gold
Accessories/Embellishments: Sewing machine, Big Shot, Nesties, Stickles

This card is a beauty, Sue. You did a wonderful job on it. That's an interesting piece of info about sewing on the wood. NEVER would I have thought of it. Great thinking out side of the box!
