Poinsettia Digi & Midnight Madness #14

Good Morning to you all! I am so excited to tell you that I am the sponsor this week over at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

I'm giving away Digi's, Wood Paper, Prima Flowers and More! Be sure to play along with us for your chance to win! AND, I'm even offering a BONUS PRIZE to the person who is chosen! If they have McMahon Five Designs Store logo (html code upper right sidebar) proudly displayed on their blog, they win even MORE digi's...of their choice! Have I tempted you all to join us and just find out what a fun group we are?!?!?

This is my NEW Double Poinsettia Digi just released. I used Abby's 3D Flower technique...which I LOVE. Thanks, Abby! I printed and colored 4 images. Cut out 3 and layered them. Look at all those gorgeous petals!

What about the arch on the background piece? I was trying something new and it worked!

I hand sewed seed beads in the center of both poinsettia's. Added Stickles to the top layers of the petals.

I used my Wenge Wood Paper for the background behind the poinsettia's. See how beautiful it is when sewn with the metallic thread? So unique and beautiful. I'm not sure if you can tell from this angle, but the bottom scalloped piece is bowed out in the center. I used my new 1/4" Scor-Tape from last weeks sponsor, Scor-Pal to anchor both edges. Holds PERFECT!

When I created this Wenge Wood background piece, I was envisioning one of those gorgeous Tuscan water fountains that you see on walls with a big basin to catch the water at the bottom. Can you see it? I think my new Wrought Iron punch gave it that Italian feel so I just went with it! I hope you love this card, because I finally made one that I can not part with! I'm framing this one. :)

In honor of my Sponsor Week at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, I wanted to offer a Poinsettia Card Kit to help you create this card. I have a limited supply of these, so don't wait too long to get yours. They are available in my store HERE for $3.50. I am also giving you FREE SHIPPING on this product while supplies last!

You will receive:
  • 4 printed images on white cardstock
  • Wenge Wood Paper
  • Gorgeous Gold Beaded Strip
  • Complete printed instructions on how I layered the flower petals and made the arch on the Wenge Wood Paper
  • All of this for $3.50 AND no shipping charges!

I know many of you already have red and black cardstock so I did not include that in this kit. I wanted to give you the things you may not already have! If you are interested, go order your Poinsettia Card Kit today because once they are gone they are gone!

Thanks for stopping and be sure to play with us this week at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge! Many of the Design Team Members were so sweet enough to use either my Digi's or Wood Papers on their cards this week. THANK YOU ladies for being such a wonderful group of artists! I'm so proud to be on such a talented team! Now go check out their creations!!! :)

Firstly, your card and your beautiful image are gorgeous, love the layering and beaded center, what a beautiful window box for the flowers, and love that you've added just the right amount of stickles, gorgeous!!!

Now, I been peeking around here and there in my town to try and find natural wood papers and have been unsuccessful, so I am super excited to have joined in on the fun THIS WEEK at MMSC, as there is a TON of fun stuff going on, but more so, I know where to go when it comes time to order wood papers, so I will see you soon ;)

Thanks for coming by and visiting my project this week!!

Enjoy your weekend,
Stephanne

Your flowers are just fabulous. I can see them on stems and in a vase in my home. lol But really, your design reminds me of peering at the flowers through a florist window. So pretty and unique. Love the detail you put into your cards.
