Yeah, I was able to play with the MMSC girls this week! It's been a long time! I'm working on Father's Day cards today with my daughter. Hubby and our oldest son were making the loooong drive back from hubby's grandmother's burial and our middle son was having HIS 'special day' with Grandparents today so it was just the girls. My baby girl and I. She wasn't so into pulling weeds with me this morning so we came in to color and make cards. I made one and she made two. She always has to show me up! LOL! While I was coloring the new digital stamp "Old Stone Bridge", I thought I would create a little tutorial along the way on how I add texture to the nature elements of this digital stamp.
*I apologize for the photo quality. My kids were using the camera and changed settings. I can not figure out how to reset it.
I printed the image on Neenah Solar Crest White card stock and colored with Copics.
Using Copic Colorless Blender Liquid and an old baby wash cloth, I dripped the Colorless blender onto the old wash cloth.
I wrapped the damp, old wash cloth around one finger and dabbed where I wanted texture.
The key is alcohol ink removes alcohol ink. Since the colorless blender is clear it removes any color where I touch that has been colored with Copics.
I dabbed the rag all over the image for the simple texture effect. Use anything you have that might possibly leave an interesting pattern! Use a rag, sponge, towel, sock, sweater...anything with texture add Colorless Blender and go! :)
I finished the card off with Beech Wood Paper, Walnut Wood Paper, Cherry Branch Sizzix die cut, White gel pen, Aqua Stickles, and Zva Creative Night Blue Pearls.
Father's Day card DONE! :)

Oh my gosh, you did a superb job coloring the image with your copics. Thanks for the tutorial on creating texture. Looks easy enough, but I still don't see how you colored in this image so perfectly. Love your die cuts too.
